THQ today announced changes to its product release schedule. The company's action-adventure title, "Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy," for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system is now expected to ship in North America on November 10, 2003. The title had previously been scheduled to launch in late September. The company also announced plans to publish Sphinx for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft in North America concurrent with the November PlayStation 2 and GameCube launch...
In addition, "Warhammer 40,000: Firewarrior," the first online first person shooter for PlayStation 2, will be released on schedule in Europe during the September quarter. However, the PlayStation 2 version is now expected to ship in North America during the third fiscal quarter. The PC versions are also now scheduled to ship in North America and Europe during the third fiscal quarter.

Oxygen Interactive, the UK based computer game publisher can today announce that they have signed the highly acclaimed Massively Multiplayer Online Strategy title Time of Defiance in a priority deal with developers Nicely Crafted Entertainment. Oxygen Interactive have acquired the rights for Europe, Australia and New Zealand, in a deal which will see the award nominated title brought to the mass market.

iEntertainment Network announced today that it has signed a deal with Activision Value Publishing, Inc. (AVP) to develop AVP's The History Channel WWII: The Battle of Britain, a new single player game to North American retail outlets in October. The highly anticipated game, WWII: The Battle of Britain, includes a brand new combat terrain with over 270 miles of actual English Channel topography taken from real satellite data, over 40 historically accurate airplanes, and real flight models designed to perfectly match the flying characteristics of World War II aircraft.

This is a Beta pack and as such is still under testing.. The map pack "6 MB" includes 7 new maps which allow you to fight over all the areas covered in Legion. The maps have been converted to the Chariots of War format but still use the nations and units available in Chariots of War, not the units available in Legion! Atlanta Thrashers all-star right winger Dany Heatley has reached an agreement with Electronic Arts to be the cover athlete and spokesman for its EA SPORTS NHL 2004 game. Heatley's image will be featured on NHL 2004 packaging and merchandising.
