At its keynote address at the Game Developers Conference today, Nintendo announced upcoming collaborations with AT&T and Netflix. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata explained that 3DS owners will have Internet connectivity at more than 10,000 AT&T Wi-Fi hot spots and Netflix members can stream movies and other content on their 3DS systems.

Nintendo's wireless gaming service has hit an all- time gaming record of 1 million unique users, in less than four months in operation.

The online gaming service for Nintendo DS lets users connect wirelessly to race. From the very start, users can log on easily to shoot shells and burn rubber against opponents from all around the world.

Nintendo UK is bringing Wi-Fi technology into play from the 25th November 2005 with a new deal with wireless providers BT Openzone and The Cloud. The launch of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service means the UK will allow anyone to play against friends and family across the globe simply, safely and for free.

On Nov. 14, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection will begin a new era of easy, social gaming. For the first time, characters from the Nintendo universe will be playable online, as part of a unique wireless community, accessible inside or outside the home.
