SEGA of America today announced the availability of Worms Forts: Under Siege on the Xbox and the PS2. This new installment ratchets the strategy of the series' game play up a notch, allowing players to build huge fortifications and defend against opponent attacks.

SEGA of America today, Inc. today announced they will be publishing the next two titles in the Worms franchise. Worms 3D, for the Xbox, and Worms: Forts Under Siege, for the PS2 and Xbox, are shipping to stores March 1, 2005. The Worms phenomenon has taken the gaming world by storm, gripping the minds of players everywhere with its sharp humor and accessible, strategic gameplay.

Team17 has posted a msg in their official forums revealing a North American publishing deal as well as the fact that the European edition of Worms Forts went gold. "US Deal for Worms3D XBox (inc Live) and Worms Forts PC, PS2 and XBox is now complete. An official announcement will follow when the publisher decides (or on here when we can announce). Worms Forts PC, PS2 and Xbox have gone gold and will be released week commencing Nov 19th in Europe. North America/Rest of world territory dates to follow."
