Bethesda Softworks announced today that Inon Zur has created the original musical score for Bethesda's highly anticipated post-apocalyptic video game, Fallout 3. Zur, an award-winning composer, has created numerous scores for films, television, and new media.

Earlier this week, Activision Blizzard revealed it would not be attending the E3 Media & Business Summit 2008 (nor renewing its ESA membership), and subsequently NCSoft and Foundation 9 confirmed they would not be participating either. While id Software's attendance is still up in the air, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
issued a statement that it will be present, and in spite of not being on the exhibitors list, Bethesda confirmed it will be showing off Fallout 3 at the event.

Interplay announced earnings for the Q2 2007, reporting a net income of $5.46 million, compared to last year's $2.06 million. The results are mainly due to the sale of its Fallout license to Bethesda (for $5,750,000), while itself obtaining an exclusive license, under certain conditions, to use the IP for developing a Fallout MMO.

Bethesda have updated the
Fallout site with a countdown to the release of the Fallout 3 teaser trailer. On the site you'll find concept art created in conjunction with noted concept artist Craig Mullins, as well as a streaming version of the Fallout 3 title track. thanks Blues). Set in the highly recognized Fallout post Nuclear Apocalyptic world giving consumers an ongoing virtual experience of today's life as if the cold war, which lasted for the best part of the second half of last century, had led to a nuclear disaster. The development budget is set for $75 million dollar and is scheduled to last until 2010, indicating approx when we should expect it in stores. Time will tell ...
