Vision Engine developers Trinigy announced its Entertainment Stimulus Package (ESP) program which will be made available to qualifying professional game developers. At ComicCon Bioware mentioned that a new DLC for its sci-fi action/rpg is in the pipeline. A video documentary on the Mass Effect Platinum Hits edition reveals that a kind of casino gaming fight club space station will be added, initially planned to be included in the original game, giving people a much more combat-oriented, lighter-story experience. Also mentioned was the fact that save games from ME will carry over into the sequel, which will in general take you through a darker period where you're really looking for answers with a lot of twists and turns.

Last week we reported that Square Enix and Eidos had reached a preliminary agreement for the Japanese developer/publisher to acquire Eidos. The question was how Warner Bros., which already owns 20% of Eidos, would react. As it turns out WBIE is not going to counter offer, but has instead issued a statement saying it is "supportive," and will vote in favor of the takeover.
