Paramount Pictures has reached an agreement to acquire the worldwide film rights to Midway Games' "AREA 51," a state-of-the-art video game which is scheduled for release in March of 2005, available for use on the PlayStation2 and the Xbox. Christine Peters will be collaborating with the game developer to produce the film, which will be an action-packed thriller.

Stan Winston Studio, home of four-time Academy Award-winning special effects legend Stan Winston, and Midway Games Inc. a leading software industry publisher and developer, have teamed in a development association for Midway's action-adventure videogame tentatively titled, AREA 51. In addition, Stan Winston Productions has secured the exclusive motion picture rights for the project.
