The Ant Bully videogame follows the general storyline of the film, in which a young boy named Lucas is magically shrunk down to ant size and made to live like an ant in the colony as he battles, explores and forges new friendships in his new ant world.

Anti-violent video game activist Jack Thompson has today filed a lawsuit to force Take-Two to give him a copy of its school violence simulation, Bully, before its October 1, 2006, release date. Thompson claims that Take-Two has a history of downplaying the violence in its titles and therefore wants to see the game and judge for himself.

BBC News revealed that British Member of Parliament Keith Vaz is going after Roickstar's upcoming title Bully claiming that the game will inspire violence among schoolchildren. Vaz has approached the House of Commons stating his concern about Rockstar's decision to publish a new game in which players use their on-screen persona to kick and punch other schoolchildren, asking that the game should be treated like a violent film, and should go before the British Board of Film Classification or be banned completely. A Rockstar rep told the BBC that just as books aren't judged by their covers, video games shouldn't be judged by their titles or individual scenes. To Be Continued ...

Rockstar Games today announced Bully for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Bully brings groundbreaking, innovative, original gameplay and humorous tongue-in-cheek storytelling to an entirely new setting: the schoolyard. The title is expected to hit retail shelves in October 2005.
