PES 2010 will benefit from the most exhaustive raft of new features in the series’ history, with every aspect of the game benefiting from key improvements and major gameplay additions. On Nov. 24 Konami will issue a patch that updates the team rosters with the most recent transfers, adding four teams to the Champions League mode (Atletico Madrid, Olympiacos, Lyon and Fiorentina), as well as enhancing a number of elements in the full game.

Gears of War 2 picks up six months after the events of the original, thrusting players back into humankind's epic battle for survival against a nightmarish force of underground creatures known as the Locust Horde. Epic is working on a major title update for GoW2 that will address bugs, online exploits (invisible shield, melee through some walls, gain infinite Lancer ammo), and new achievements related to DLCs. The online gameplay experience will also be improved by increasing penalties for quitting matches early, adding additional spawn protection against planted grenades and chainsaw attacks, and adding the ability to see the Submission flag carrier destination by using Tac/Com.

While the Consumer Electronics Show doesn't start until next week (Jan. 7 - 10 in Las Vegas), Sony has already put up its
CES 2008 website showing off its latest electronic products, including the PS3 and PSP. While details are still limited, the PSP section of the site does reveal a possible new feature to be unveiled at the show, support for Skype's free online voice chat/phone service. Sony recently brought a microphone on the market for the PSP, so adding Skype support through a firmware update is likely.

Epic VP Mark Rein revealed that one of its licensees, which he declined to identify, is currently porting the engine to Nintendo's console, similar to what Ubisoft did with the Unreal Engine 2 for its slasher, Red Steel. And we all know how well that turned out ....

signed Sean O'Keefe and Will Staples to write the movie script for Atari Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure video game, a story about a young graffiti artist who goes on the run after discovering a dirty secret about government officials in his city. O'Keefe and Staples most recently adapted the comic book Fathom for Fox, Columbia's The Murder of King Tut and The Northmen. Marc Ecko will co-produce, no director has been assigned yet.

Atari's been hiding Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure for a while. I mean that literally; to hear word one about the game at last year's E3, you had to navigate through their weird art-deco buffet lounge to an exterior balcony in the Staples Center.
