'Manhunt 2' (PSP/PS2/Wii) Already Under Fire

Earlier this week Rockstar announced Manhunt 2, sequel to its controversial, and brutal action game where you play James Earl Cash, a convicted killer on death row, set free and hunted down as a sport for the masses to enjoy. Rockstar was taken to court in 2004 over a murder case in the UK, claiming the game influenced the killer, but eventually absolved by the court. Now the victim's parents are outraged over the decision to make a sequel, calling it "an insult" to their son's memory, and others are "astonished" by the announcement.

Rockstar Games announced Manhunt 2, the debut title from the newly formed Rockstar London studio, which is developing the game in conjunction with series creator Rockstar North. The game will be available this summer, and the Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto.

Rockstar Games Ships 'Manhunt' For PlayStation2

Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. announced today that Manhunt for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system has shipped to retail stores throughout North America. Manhunt will be in stores in Europe on November 21, 2003. Manhunt is developed by Rockstar North, the developers behind the global blockbuster Grand Theft Auto franchise.
