LucasArts plans to release a demo for its Star Wars themed RTS game Empire At War, on Wednesday January 18, at 9am PST (6pm Euro time). The singleplayer demo will include five tutorials, and one galactic conquest map, although only a limited amount of units will be included in the demo, the complete array is kept for the retail game which is due Febuary 16, 2006. Strategy First and Valve Corporation are pleased to announce the Steam launch date for S.C.S: Dangerous Waters and Space Empires IV Deluxe. S.C.S: Dangerous Waters is a naval simulation game, and will be available via Steam for $39.99. Space Empires IV Deluxe a strategy title in the space 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) genre, will also be available via Steam for just $19.99. Those with an active Steam account will be able to pre-purchase the games beginning January 24 and save 10%.

Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires is Koei's latest title in DW series. The Empires spinoff adds an Empires mode where you have to sign political alliances in order to conquer the Three Kingdoms. Contrary to DW4 Empires the new title not only has you deploy your generals but also command then once on the battlefield. DW5 Empires also adds a coop mode, and is scheduled for release in Japan end of March.
