Codemasters' Leipzig Games Convention 2007 showcase booth (Hall 4, F01) will feature playable premieres for Clive Barker’s Jericho, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, new downloadable content for Overlord, Colin McRae: DiRT on PS3, and an area dedicated to LotR Online: Shadows of Angmar's Book 10 content update, and Fury.

Paradox Interactive will attend the Games Convention in Leipzig August 22-24. While they have a large autumn lineup, recently increased through a newly signed distribution contract with publisher Nobilis Group France, they'll mainly focus on their two September releases at Leipzig: Tarr Chronicles and Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power.

People who have been upgrading their gaming system with the latest hardware might be in for a surprise as The Inquirer reports (albeit not a very reliable source) that an upcoming DirectX 10.1 update by Microsoft will not be compatible with the latest GeForce 8800 or Radeon 2900 gfx cards. While the update itself is rather insignificant, 32-bit instead of 16-bit floating point filtering, and 4xAA will become a standard, it also requires Vista SP1, and developer implementation.

Buka announced its Games Convention line-up, where The Hunt, Sledgehammer and The Swarm will make their first appearance. In addition Buka will showcase two games that have advanced greatly since they were presented last year, Collapse and DUSK-12.

Microsoft issued an Xbox 360 system/dash update, so if you log in to Xbox Live you will receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update.
