On Oct. 7, 2005, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation banning the sale of violent video games to children. The video game industry filed an appeal few days later, and since the law was on hold until Judge Ronald Whyte had a chance to review the facts. According to
Gamepolitics the Judge has now thrown out the law as unconstitunional saying, "The evidence does not establish that video games, because of their interactive nature or otherwise, are any more harmful than violent television, movies, internet sites or other speech-related exposures."

Deep Silver has revealed its lineup of titles it will be showing off at the Games Convention 2007, Aug 23-26, in Leipzig, Germany. Apart from localized Square Enix titles, there will also be several new titles on display, and a special press conference with Piranha Bytes (makers of the Gothic series) where it will present its new RPG.

PQRS, working title, is a action-puzzle simulator for the Wii blending Jenga style building-blocks with Saturday-morning cartoon, a physics heavy game that lets you manipulate blocks with the Wii remote. LMNO, working title, is an X360/PS3 action title, where you're an ex-secret agent, and the bond that you forge while on the run with the computer-controlled woman (good, bad, indifferent) determines the nature of her special abilities and the ways in which she'll assist you.
