Square Enix U.S.A., Inc., which has offices located in Los Angeles, CA and Seattle, WA, will now be called Square Enix, Inc. This change is a part of its efforts to establish a globally consistent corporate brand image.

EA has announced that ESPN’s ‘College Football Thursday’ reporter Jill Arrington will be joining John Madden and Al Michaels on the Madden NFL sidelines. Madden NFL 2005 will be in stores August 12 for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube and GBA.

GameSpy is reporting that EA has cancelled their Ultima universe based MMOG, Ultima X: Odyssey. Reason for the axing is so that EA can concentrate on current projects and a new, yet unannounced, expansion pack. Gamespot is reporting that Sammy's popular 2D fighting game Guilty Gear XX #Reload is headed for the PC, is ported by Japan's Media Kite, and has a tentative Japanese release date for July 23. Guilty Gear XX #Reload is an updated version of Guilty Gear XX and besides game balance adjustments, it will also feature a new character Robo-Ky, gallery mode, story mode and alternate character versions. AllintheGame Ltd, casting and recording The Mummy for Hip Interactive in London last week, were lucky enough to secure the services of US actor Corey Johnson, who played Daniels in the first Mummy movie .... the session featured a stellar UK and US cast in an intensive 8 hour video dubbing session. Said Voice Producer and Casting Director Phil Morris, "This was the first game we have worked on where we have had to do lip sync work to the equivalent quality of The Mummy cartoon series, with sound-alike actors matching the character roles in the TV cartoon. This demonstrates that developers and publishers can record games based on movie and TV licences in the heart of London, without having to stretch to a Hollywood cast and budget.........
