Sammy Europe, Ltd. today unveiled the games it will have on display at ECTS 2003. Amongst their titles are the eagerly anticipated Lethal Skies 2, as well as Seven Samurai 20XX. The company is exhibiting at booth #1950 at the show, held August 27th – 29th at Earls Court in London, UK.

2003 has been an incredible year for Nintendo so far having launched many amazing games such as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime on NINTENDO GAMECUBE and Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire on Game Boy Advance. THQ today announced changes to its product release schedule. The company's action-adventure title, "Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy," for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system is now expected to ship in North America on November 10, 2003. The title had previously been scheduled to launch in late September. The company also announced plans to publish Sphinx for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft in North America concurrent with the November PlayStation 2 and GameCube launch...

In addition, "Warhammer 40,000: Firewarrior," the first online first person shooter for PlayStation 2, will be released on schedule in Europe during the September quarter. However, the PlayStation 2 version is now expected to ship in North America during the third fiscal quarter. The PC versions are also now scheduled to ship in North America and Europe during the third fiscal quarter.

You can now sign up on Atari's official beta test web site to test the upcoming free Unreal 2 multiplayer expansion pack. The unreal 2 multiplayer mode is a class-based team game where players fight for control of artifacts and energy using a deadly arsenal of weaponry, vehicles, and defenses. While you are there you can also sign up to beta test the upcoming multiplayer oriented Terminator 3: War of the Machines (thanks HomeLAN).

Metro3D Europe proudly announce the much anticipated release of R-type Final on the Playstation 2 in January 2004.

Andy Law, General Manager, Metro3D Europe commented "We are delighted to confirm that we have secured this license with Irem and have rights to publish R-type Final throughout PAL territories. A product of this calibre is proof that we mean business as an 'up and coming' publisher to watch out for."

Oxygen Interactive, the UK based computer game publisher can today announce that they will be showcasing their 2003/2004 line up of titles at this years ECTS show from 27th August to 29th August 03... "March Offworld Recon, Midnight Nowhere, Paradise Cracked, Echelon Wind Warriors and Time of Defiance, with new PS2 and Xbox games to be unveiled too".

Atari, Inc. has announced that Once Upon A Knight (also known as KnightShift), a fantasy-based interactive PC game, is in development and will ship to retail stores in September. Once Upon A Knight combines the best elements of real-time-strategy (RTS) action and role-playing-game (RPG) adventure into a unique and exciting game set in a brilliantly rendered setting where players battle evil, save damsels and are generally noble and just.

Big Huge Games sent out notice announcing that they are looking for beta testers to try out an upcoming patch for their RTS game Rise of Nations (thanks HomeLAN). The DesertCombat team is pleased to announce the next major public alpha of DesertCombat. Since the alpha tests have been so successful, we were able to get valuable feedback and bug reports to make this mod even better.
