SEGA Europe Ltd, today announced that the highly anticipated OutRun2, developed by AM2 and Sumo Digital, will feature remixes of the classic OutRun tunes by award-winning composer Richard Jacques.

VU Games announced today the lineup of titles the company will be showcasing at the World Cyber Games Championship Expo in San Francisco from October 7th through the 10th. The Expo will be open to the public and will be located at and around Polk Hall, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in Downtown San Francisco.

Platinum is partnering with Icarus Studios to develop a massively multiplayer online game in tandem with the film. Based on a Platinum Studios graphic novel, "Atlantis" is a political sci-fi thriller about an underwater kingdom and the surface world coming to the brink of war, with both civilizations hanging in the balance. "Atlantis" was created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and written by Scott O. Brown. It belongs to what Platinum calls the same "Macroverse," which also includes "Cowboys & Aliens," set up at Sony, and "Unique," set up at the Walt Disney Co./Touchstone.

Sony Online today announced PlanetSide: Aftershock, featuring PlanetSide, the original game that defined the massively-multiplayer online action genre, PlanetSide: Core Combat expansion pack, and the recently announced BattleFrame Robotics (BFRs) action pack. PlanetSide: Aftershock is expected to ship to North American retail stores on October 18, 2004.

Eidos today announced the development of the first-person action shooter Project: Snowblind. The game puts players in the role of an elite super soldier, fighting on the front lines of a near-future war using unique weapons, abilities and high-tech gadgetry that inject depth and variety to gameplay. SEGA of America today announced the development of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, which will bring SEGA's popular arcade series to PlayStation2 and Xbox consumers for the first time. Ubisoft announced today the Shadowbane: Throne of Oblivion expansion pack will be available at a manufacturer’s retail price of $19.99 on November 30. The expansion for the critically acclaimed massively multiplayer online (MMO) game Shadowbane will feature an entirely new realm and rulership system that allows players to seize and vie for control of sections of the game world.
