While there probably wont be any game specific details regarding BioShock 2 revealed for quite some time, while its development is no secret there has yet to be an official announcement, a
job application for 2K Boston reveals that, unlike the original, BioShock 2 will include multiplayer. Looking for a game designer to lead a multiplayer design team the app form states "BioShock had no multi-player mode. We don't believe in throwing in something that can’t go head to head with the big boys."

Universal Studios has signed a deal with Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski to turn Take Two's BioShock into a film, while John Logan, known for Gladiator and The Aviator, is in talks to produce the screenplay. Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick said the deal is structured in a way so that it won't end up in a last-minute backing out, like the Halo movie deal.

The Bank of America SmidCap Conference, where he went into more detail about the
rejection of EA's buyout offer. During his presentation, making use of
various slides, it came to light that the publisher under siege is considering making MMOs out of the BioShock and Civilization franchises, as well as a possible Hollywood movie based on the former.

Take-Two's Q1 2008 financial result reveals net revenue down and an increase in net loss, but most importantly, 2K Games confirmed BioShock 2 is being developed by 2K Marin and is planned for release in the Q4 of fiscal 2009 (Aug.-Oct. 2009), the same time frame set for Mafia II. Borderlands, however, has been delayed until Nov. 2008 at the earliest, in order to give Gearbox additional development time, as well as Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

rumored to be in talks Take Two about a movie adaptation. Through extensive use of green screen technology similar to Legendary Pictures' 300, the studio hopes to bring the fallen aquatic utopia of Rapture to the big screen but whether it will go beyond the negotiations stage remains to be seen.

Both the BioShock PC Patch and the 360 Title Update will be available next week. In additon to these fixes, we will be releasing downloadable content free on both Xbox Live and for the PC, with the DLC bundled into the PC Patch. A full list of bug fixes and everything included in the DLC will be put up on the Cult of Rapture when the downloads become available.

If your game stutters, clear the hd cache.
