In Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, players can control all the Quidditch positions and high-flying moves, scoring with Chasers, defending with Beaters and the Keeper, and trying to capture the Snitch with the Seeker. Gamers can choose any one of the four Hogwarts House teams (including Harry Potter's Gryffindor and Draco Malfoy's Slytherin) to triumph in the Hogwarts Cup, gaining an opportunity to attend the Quidditch World Cup. For the first time ever, Harry Potter fans will be able to experience the magic of Harry's first year at Hogwarts with next-generation graphics and updated gameplay in the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone game from Electronic Arts. EA's UK Studio, the team behind the worldwide success of the original Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets games, which together have sold over 20 million copies worldwide, joins Warthog Games in developing the title for the PS2, the Xbox, and GameCube. The game is scheduled for release in the fall of 2003 under the EA GAMES brand.

Aspyr Media Inc. announced today that it has shipped a Macintosh version of the popular video game based on "Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets," J.K. Rowling's second book in the worldwide best-selling series and blockbuster movie sequel from Warner Bros. Pictures. The game will be available at retailers nationwide beginning April 16, 2003. Aspyr licensed "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" from Electronic Arts, and Macintosh conversion was done by Westlake Interactive.

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets players enter fantastical free-roaming 3D environments from Harry's world. Players become Harry Potter and delve not only into Harry's world, but also into his personality, via an internal "voice." Conversing with unique characters like Moaning Myrtle, shopping in Diagon Alley, and exploring the convoluted corridors of Hogwarts, players make crucial and independent decisions within Harry's world. The demo offers two levels from the full retail PC game, which is based on the movie of the same name.
