This follow-up release to Deus Ex is being developed by Ion Storm, creators of the original game, and is slated to arrive in stores in 2003. Namco Hometek Inc.'s highly anticipated Dead to Rights is scheduled to launch for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft in the U.S. in late July. Inspired by Hong Kong action movies, classic film noir style and hardboiled detective novels, Dead To Rights stars action noir hero, Jack Slate, a good cop in a bad city, forced to be a fugitive as he fights for his life and searches for his father's killers.
Dirt Track Racing 2 captures the excitement and close, frantic action of stock car racing. The sequel to Dirt Track Racing, DTR2 features new tracks, a new car class - the Modified - mud splattering the players view, spectacular crashes and collisions. Today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft Corp. became the first video game company ever to announce a comprehensive online game service fully dedicated to fast-action, always-connected broadband gaming experiences. The online console gaming service, named Xbox Live, launches in North America, Japan and Europe this fall for the Xbox video game system and ramps up with consumer beta programs starting this summer.
Electronic Arts today announced that The Sims is in development for the PS2, at the company's Walnut Creek-based Maxis studio in conjunction with Austin-based, Edge of Reality, Ltd. Players will now be able to create and control their Sims like never before with all new level-based game play, two-player mode, and dynamic 3D graphics. The #1 PC game of all time will make its console debut this fall and will be unveiled to industry insiders on May 22nd at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition in Los Angeles.
