Argonaut Games have announced the development of a new Xbox game called Orchid. Orchid is a free-roaming fighting game set in a 3D comic book styled world. Release TBA. Check out overview, features and screens below!

Good news for all PS2 fans. PlayStation2 Era got information from a contact at Rockstar Games that their hailed game of the year title, Grand Theft Auto III will see a sequel on PlayStation 2 by year's end. Apparently the game has been in development for some while now with confirmed development on PS2 and rumored development on Xbox. The cities will be even more functional than GTA3, with characters you see on the street a lot more interactive than what was seen in previous titles.

Microsoft Corp. announced today at the 2002 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that the Xbox™ video game system had one of the most successful launches in video game history. Microsoft sold 1.5 million units in North America between the Nov. 15 launch and the end of calendar year 2001. In addition, the NPD Group Inc. has reported that gamers bought more than three games with every Xbox system, the highest-ever game attach rate for a video game console launch.
