'SEGA Sports NHL 2K3' Goes Online (Xbox) - Facts & Screens

SEGA of America, Inc. announced today that "SEGA Sports NHL 2K3" will be online for the Xbox. Expanding upon the company's online roster of games for the new next-generation consoles, "SEGA Sports NHL 2K3" marks the ninth online game that SEGA will deliver this year allowing gamers to play online head-to-head against friends (or foes!) across the country. With the most experience in online console gaming, SEGA will deliver more online console games than any other company in 2002. Additionally, SEGA is the first and only company to deliver online content to all three of the new consoles including PlayStation2, the Xbox and GameCube.

'Super Mario Sunshine' Sells BIG

'Xenus' - New Screenshots

Xenus is a upcoming RPG and action game by Deep Shadows. Killing is not the goal of the game. There are no predefined enemies in the game. There are a lot of characters but almost all of them are neutral to you at start. Actually, there are six sides in the game: officials, guerrilla, narco mafia, Indian, bandits, CIA. When you help to one of the side you inevitably spoil your relations with others. In the world of Xenus everything costs money. Therefore you have to purchase weapons, ammo, armament take a car for a rent. Money is also helpful to get necessary information.

Well, the demo is going trough some testing at GameSpy right now to check that arcade intergration is done properly (witch it of course is...). So the demo should be zipping around out there on the net by friday boys and girls (girls? did someone say girls?). "It will be ready by friday!"

Project Nomads - Screens

A once proud civilization is on the brink of destruction. A terrible disaster has left their home world shattered into many pieces. These flying islands are the homes of the survivors. Among these survivors are beautiful Susie, smart John and strong Goliath. Choose one of these characters, then turn your islands into powerful fortresses, solve mysterious quests and save your two lost friends. Special magic artifacts will enable you to construct factories, power stations and defensive structures. You will produce machines, doubledeckers and zeppelins, which will be used to collect further artefacts and raw materials used as energy sources, and protect them from enemy attacks. This game is damn cool and has an original game concept, check the 28 screens!

'Battlefield 1942' Demo Patch Available NOW

EA and DICE have just released the new Battlefield 1942 v1.1 demo which fixes a number of issues including the 60hz bug and support for All-Seeing-Eye amongst other things. Gigex has just put up access to downloads of a demo for Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, BreakAway and Impressions Games' now-gold isometric strategy/building game set in China. According to Gigex, "The demo includes six tutorial missions set in the ancient Xia dynasty in medieval China, three single-player scenarios set in the Shang dynasty, and one multiplayer mission." The demo is a 130 MB download (Thanks Blues).

Got Game Got 'Adam Blaster: Atomic Enforcer' - Screens

NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. of DEI Racing will become the official cover athlete for the EA SPORTS franchise NASCAR Thunder 2003. Dale Jr. also contributed to the development of the game and his likeness will appear on all NASCAR Thunder 2003 packaging and merchandising.

Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo Update

The official UT2003 forum over at Infogrames is today updated with some more information about the upcoming demo. Here is a clip:

  • Level Designers are reviewing the AI in their maps to make sure that the bots know how to Shieldgun jump, Translocate, Double Jump, and Low Grav jump to EVERY available spot in their maps.
  • The single player campaign is being tested and finalized.
  • The Redeemer is in and fully functional and is very close to being bug free.
  • All levels are being finalized for ragdoll (low poly) collision.
  • Extras are being put in. Select a mesh for your player avatar and the voice is now hooked up to announce it. Kill someone with a redeemer and their body goes flying. Sound matches up with the redeemer explosion properly. Mutators are being tested in random combinations with each other. Instagib with zoom and translocator and QUAD jump is quite a kick!

Bandai Plans to Make Games for NGC Console

Bandai Co. plans to develop games for Nintendo Co.'s GameCube video-game console, the first titles from Japan's largest toymaker specifically designed for the Kyoto-based company's new game machine. The software will go on sale in Japan in November, Nintendo said in a news release distributed to reporters in Osaka. Nintendo will handle distribution of the game.
