Scheduled for release in early 2002, the game is currently in development for PlayStation 2, PC and other next generation platforms at independent game studio Wide Games. Gameplay continues to evolve with strong adventure gameplay mechanics making for a tense and suspenseful playing experience.
Activision today confirmed that it has secured the North American publishing rights to Bloody Roar for the GameCube. For its North American release, the game, titled Bloody Roar Extreme in Japan, will be renamed to Bloody Roar: Primal Fury. The game will have five single-player modes and two two-player head-to-head modes. Release is set to Spring 2002.

Kyoto, Japan Ð Nintendo, the second-largest video-game console maker, said it will ship more GameCube consoles than planned to meet demand in the US. Kyoto-based Nintendo, which expected to sell four million GameCube consoles by March, will send "several hundred thousand more," spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa said. Nintendo will ship 4.5 million consoles, the Nihon Keizai newspaper said on Sunday.
