'Hooligans - Storm Over Europe' Finally Goes To The UK

This is the game they could not ban. Developed and wholly funded by Dutch fledgling Darxabre, Hooligans - Storm over Europe is essentially a PC CD Rom. Semi spoof on football hooliganism. It is a real-time strategy (RTS) game set now (not in some distant surreal stupid past world) dealing with the real problems of modern day society.

In an exciting awards ceremony, The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) awarded top honors to three products from the Vivendi Universal Games Partner Publishing Group. Dark Age of Camelot, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal received awards at the fifth annual AIAS ceremony held at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on the first evening of the D.I.C. E. Summit.

Octagon Entertainment Takes Off With 'People Can Fly'

Octagon Entertainment has signed People Can Fly as its newest client and is seeking worldwide publishing for the team’s debut title, Painkiller. Former Lemon Interactive designer Adrian Chmielarz, who directed the development of Starmageddon (otherwise known as Project Earth in the US) and Odium (a.k.a. Gorky 17) for Metropolis Software, recently founded the Polish development team.

Capcom Eurosoft today confirmed its intention to release Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube this summer. Shinji Mikami, mastermind of the blockbuster franchise Resident Evil and the creator of the survival horror genre, takes control again re-inventing his original masterpiece.
