Blizzard Entertainment announced today that Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide, according to EDI sell-through, internal company estimates, and reports from key retail accounts around the world. Following in the tradition of previous Blizzard games, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne is now the eighth Blizzard product to sell 1 million copies and also to reach #1 in U.S. sales. The game, which began shipping on July 1, is topping PC sales charts in North America, Europe, and Asia.

CDV has released some new screens from their upcoming RTS game Cossacks II. All other screenshots to date don't show the brilliant new interface and Cossacks buffs will immediately recognize the changes. Everything has been cleaned up, and there are drastically fewer icons than before. The guys at GSC Game World were able to minimize the icons and simplify the controls. Another new feature is an on-screen video that depicts the selected unit via real-life footage. If you have ever wondered how those units look in reality, Cossacks II will show you! Reality entertainment broke new ground today with the unveiling of ‘Reality Games’ by new start up venture, Kuma Reality Games. Delivered through high-speed Internet connections to consumers’ PCs, Kuma will offer weekly episodic content that allows gamers to “play the news as it is reported.” Earlier today we had announcement up for Kuma Reality Games' new title Kuma: Wars, and now we have the first screens to show you what its all about.
