Long the stuff of legends, Dragons in flight is now a thing of reality in Horizons: Empire of Istaria! The natural progression of age, which was once taken for granted, was halted long ago when a paradox was created. A sword that could cut through anything struck a great statue which could not be damaged, sending shockwaves through the world which halted the natural order for all Dragons. In order to continue their normal existence, Dragons had to discover a means to mature into adulthood, or face possible extinction.

Video Game publisher Mastiff announced today that they will release Space Raiders, the first true 3D sequel to Taito’s arcade classic, Space Invaders. Space Raiders was developed by Taito, the company that first unleashed hordes of unstoppable aliens way back in 1978 and is exclusively for the GameCube. Space Raiders will ship April six with a $19.99 suggested retail price.

Electronic Arts announced that Battlefield Vietnam has today begun to ship to retail outlets. Battlefield Vietnam, like its brethren Battlefield games, allows players to join forces on teams in games with up to 64 players over the Internet. With the release of Battlefield Vietnam, the critically acclaimed Battlefield franchise, including Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome and Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII, has sold three million units worldwide.

The player starts of as a normal citizen in the society governed by the UCF. The "Freedom Front" offers the player a chance to join the group. The player can either join, or decline and join the UCF group. The player is then assigned the post of an army general, commanding a small army. EA has released the Windows version for Digital Illusions' Battlefield Vietnam dedicated Linux server. This package contains all the game executables, maps and doc files, will give people who want to host/run multiplayer games a chance to prepare their servers for the games launch.
