I know I've said it before, but wow, there sure are a lot of games coming out at the moment, and next month will be a real doozy with the likes of Dragon Age, Modern Warfare 2 and plenty of others. The ramp-up to the holiday season is always a good time to be a gamer.

One more day and it's the weekend again! Time sure flew by this week ... well, for me anyhow.

We have plans to hang out with some friends, but we also plan to check out Paranormal Activity and/or Boondock Saints II. We're especially looking forward to the latter; the sequel's been 10 years in the making, but we loved the first one, so this had better not disappoint.

Ah yes, and Friday means that it's Stargate Universe time!

Set approx. 10 years after the events of the original, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. All along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to Rapture. You will play as the first Big Daddy as you travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and your own survival.

Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content, starting with Inferno Pool, Hasbro Family Game Night, demos for Ratchet And Clank Future: A Crack In Time (Ratchet demo), Fat Princess, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, DLCs for PAIN, Trivial Pursuit, DJ Hero, song packs for Guitar Hero 5, Rock Band (Unplugged); and the usual game/movie trailers, PS3 themes, downloadable PSP games (Zombie Tycoon, Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam, LocoRoco: Midnight Carnival, NBA 2K10, Darkstalkers Chronicles: The Chaos Tower).

L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for cooperative action games, adding melee combat to enable deeper cooperative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more. If you want explosive ammo, incendiary ammo, laser sights and a grenade launcher in the demo, follow these instructions.

Football Manager 2010 features new tools and changes across the board including some big additions to improve ease of use, navigation and feedback from the game with the introduction of a brand new match tactics system, the debut of a Match Analysis tool, a completely new look and new User Interface among other features.

Borderlands is an all-new sci-fi action game combining elements of first-person action titles with player customization and vehicular combat. Gearbox revealed that tomorrow it will release a patch for the X360 edition, addressing various issues, with the PS3 and PC versions to follow shortly...

Need for Speed Nitro will have players of all skill levels hooked from the moment they get into the action, while arcade racing fans will be exhilarated by the deep and challenging gameplay.
