For all those who dreamt of being a cowboy, strap on those spurs, because in this wild, wild west, wagon rollin', trigger happy, rootin' tootin' PC simulation gamers can be all they had ever dreamt of. Start out as a rancher with a handful of cattle and a few good men to help out, the main objective is to extend the ranch and herds through cattle trade and make a few dollars along the way. Electronic Arts has just released the playable demo for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, offering the opportunity to take this imminent action racing simulation for a spin. THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced the North American release of their newest World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE) licensed video game, "WWE Raw" for the PC. "WWE Raw" allows players to go one-on-one with high-flying athletes and brutal brawlers in a variety of match types based on the poplar cable program that airs every Monday night on The Nashville Network. Videogame sales of THQ/JAKKS World Wrestling Entertainment license have exceeded more than $300 million in the U.S. since 1999.

'NHL Hitz 20-03' Ships For GBA

Midway Sports, the sports brand of leading software industry publisher and developer Midway Games Inc. announced today that NHL Hitz 20-03, the next iteration in the NHL Hitz franchise, has shipped for the Game Boy Advance. NHL Hitz 20-03 is also available for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube.

'Operation Flashpoint: Resistance' - Patch v1.85 & Screens

New weapons, units and civilian transport are provided today for Operation Flashpoint's Resistance fighters with the release of an all-new upgrade. The Operation Flashpoint: Resistance upgrade is freely available from the game's microsite in the Downloads section. Players require the original Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and the Resistance expansion pack to use the upgrade. 3DO Announces 'Street Racing Syndicate' (PS2/XB/NGC)

The 3DO Company today announced that Street Racing Syndicate is currently in development for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, and the Nintendo GameCube system. Scheduled for release in 2003, "SRS" captures the heart of street racing culture, and includes extensive car customization, police intervention, and high stakes competition. The game is being developed by racing game specialist Eutechnyx Ltd. which has developed such popular titles as F1 World Grand Prix 2000, 007 Racing and Le Mans 24 Hours.

'Angels' Go To The World Series

Not that anybody cares, but I still want to express my joy! The Anaheim Angels have won the ALCS (American League Championship Series) against the Minnesota Twins and are going to the World Series for the first time in their history. Breaking 3 League records in game 5 (winning 4 in a row, against 1 loss) the score was a measly 13-5. GO ANGELS!
