PS2 Review - 'Colin McRae Rally 3'

Visually Colin McRae Rally will be a feast of cars, stages and countryside with the Ford Focus RS World Rally Car returning as the lead car. The in-game Focus is being designed to feature fully moving working parts, such as suspension, and the enhanced damage engine will result in a totally destructible car - panels can be ripped off and punctured as well as dented. 'Duke Nukem: For-Never' - Latest News?

Shacknews has got some new dirt on the ever elusive Duke Nukem: For-Never, titled Duke4 Not A 2003 Game", quoting a Take 2 conference call where the publisher mentions that there's no "possibility under the sun" that Duke Nukem Forever will be released by this year's holiday season. Also saying that since they have already accounted for the fee paid to Infogrames for the project, "right now we're just hopeful that the team in Dallas will finish it." The story also mentions their hopes of releasing Max Payne 2 in January 2004.

Sony Unveils Plans For New Integrated Console

The PlayStation 2 hardware is to be integrated into a new home media device from Sony's consumer electronics department, codenamed the PSX, as the Japanese giant struggles to extend the success of its games division to other operations. The new device will feature a TV tuner, hard disc drive and a DVD recorder alongside the games console functionality, making it into an "all in one" device for gaming, media recording and playback. Details of the device are a bit thin on the ground at the moment, but it's expected that it will offer hard disc video recorder functions, similar to the TiVo and Sky Plus systems, and will feature a high speed internet port to allow downloads of music and possibly movies through Sony's media distribution systems, in Japan at least.

CDV Ships 'Combat Mission: Special Edition'

CDV announces that "Combat Mission Beyond Overlord: Special Edition" for the PC is available in retail stores. Lauded by GameSpot as "one of the best war games ever made for the computer," "Combat Mission" combines turn-based and real-time tactical action. Previously only offered for sale online, the special retail version of this World War II game includes more than 100 additional scenarios, improved in-game environments, and new vehicles, uniforms and enhanced sound.

'No Man's Land' - Huge Panorama Screenshot!

There is a new No Man's Land panorama screenshot with a resolution of 4096x1536 pixels! (2,8 MB).. The scene is extremely detailed and contains a fort under attack by Native Americans. Sony Pictures Digital Networks has released an exciting new movie trailer previewing the action-packed life of an “Angel” in Charlie’s Angels: Angel X, a network-driven game, which will be available soon at a PC screen near you. Inspired by the motion picture “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” which is set for release in theaters nationwide on June 27, 2003, gamers are charged with the mission of catching the Thin Man before his army of assassins destroys his secret lair. Utilizing martial arts skills that only an Angel could master, players must pack some serious power as they encounter murderous thugs, junkyard dogs, shot-gun toting security guards and a plethora of other foes as they progress through various levels. Players who accomplish their mission will become full-fledged “Angels” and prove to Charlie, yet again, that there is no mission too difficult for his beloved trio. The Shadowbane service came under serious attack tonight. Wolfpack Studios and have been called in and we will be investigating these incidents all through the night tonight. Ubi Soft and Wolfpack Studios are now working with law enforcement and we promise all of you that these individuals will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
