'Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War' (PS2) Revealed

The Ace Combat series is not yet flying onto the nextgen consoles, as today Namco revealed that its next title in the flight sim franchise will be taking off on the PS2. Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is situated 15 years before Ace Combat 5 and has you follow the adventures of Seifer and Bigsy, two mercenary ace pilots who have been called upon by the Ustio government to defend against enemy attacks. Much like AC5, team tactics are once again important, since you rely on your wingmans comments to successfully complete missions. ACZero will feature various new planes such as the F/A-18C, F-15C, J35J or the Typhoon. No release date has been announced, but more details will surely emerge once the TGS gets into full gear.

After LucasArts cancelled Sam & Max: Freelance Police in 2004, the game has been in limbo, but the new agreement is not to continue where LucasArts left off, the new title will be a new product, with added content, and will be released in episodes, much like Telltale's current project Bone. Game Retailers Ask Governor Schwarzenegger to Veto Violent Video Game Bill

The trade association representing the industry's leading retailers of computer and video games, the Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association (IEMA) requested that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger veto Assembly Bill 1179, which would criminalize the sale of video games that depict certain types of violence. The controversial bill was passed by the California State Legislature and the governor now has thirty days to either sign it in to law or veto.
