JoWooD's Etherlords wins highest praise from top gaming magazine

In this turn-based strategy game, the player takes the role of one of the heroes of four magical races. Their quest is to become the White Lord by being the first to reach the Temple of Time. Heroes must capture resources and buildings across the map, fighting creatures and other enemy heroes along the way. The path to the temple is filled with danger, victory won't come easy, and you must be prepared to do battle.

Each race has special properties and dwells in its own terrain. Chaots (red) occupy a lava landscape, the Vitals (green) wage war in a forest and lake environment, the Synthets (black) challenge their adversaries in a mystical dark terrain and the Kinets (blue) prefer the wet and windy atmosphere of the mountains. The heroes of all races can conjure up 40 different types of monsters to assist them in combat and use incantations and battle magic to send their monster armies into combat. Success depends on applying the right arsenal of battle magic.

Etherlords' sophisticated blend of elements will whisk players away into a world of magic with an unparalleled wealth of detail. Players find themselves in a three-dimensional world of compelling realism, with fantasy creatures like cyclops', orcs, goblins and magicians. The innovative magic system with over 300 spells supplies the scope for innumerable tactical variations. Dynamic battles are even possible in multiplayer mode thanks to the unique battle system.
