Over 1000 'Neverwinter Nights' Modules Now Available

by Rainier on Aug. 31, 2002 @ 1:36 a.m. PDT

Neverwinter Nights redefines the electronic role-playing game genre using the fully 3-D BioWare Aurora Engine and the Third Edition of the Dungeons & Dragons core rulebook. The game contains a 60- to 100-hour single-player campaign that is also playable in multiplayer mode.
These custom modules are available through the title's various fan websites, and a listing of the top-rated modules and fan websites can be found at BioWare Corp.'s Neverwinter Nights Community Site. In an effort to further support the massive community behind Neverwinter Nights, the BioWare Live Team has begun profiling many of the best user-created modules on the Neverwinter Nights Community Site.

"We're delighted that the fans of Neverwinter have embraced the module creation tools so quickly," said Dr. Ray Muzyka, joint CEO of BioWare Corp. "In addition to the fan-created content, we're continuing to support BioWare's fan community with the BioWare Live Team by providing even more content and tutorials for free online - so as time passes, the value of the game will continue to increase!"

"By giving the end user the same tools our developers use here at BioWare, we hoped the Neverwinter Nights community would thrive, and it has!" said Dr. Greg Zeschuk, joint CEO of BioWare Corp. "It's very exciting to watch the sheer number of high quality adventure modules grow on a daily basis."
