Want To Be A Face In The Crowd?

by Thomas on Sept. 23, 2003 @ 12:16 p.m. PDT

A 3D snooker simulation for the PC is currently in development, and Binary Zoo are offering you the chance to be featured as one of the spectators! The game features a range of different opponents to play against, one and two player game modes, multiplayer online option, fully customisable tournaments, practise mode, plus TV-style camera angles and action replays to capture all of the action.

World Snooker will also feature a number of locations, including snooker hall, pub, and several other 'surreal' environments! The tournaments will take place in front of a capacity crowd, and here's where you fit in!

To make the experience as realistic as possible, Binary Zoo are giving you the opportunity to send in photographs of yourself, family and friends, which will be edited by an artist and included as one of the many spectators in the game. All you have to do to participate, is send your photos in JPEG or PNG format, while following the guidelines below.

Photos must be from the waist up or full-length - unfortunately Binary Zoo cannot use close-ups of faces

The subject must be facing generally towards the camera and be suitably attired (i.e. dressed casually)

The subject must be reasonably close to the camera for detail (i.e. not standing half a mile away on top of a hill!)

The subject would ideally not be holding anything; children, a pint of beer, shopping, a half-eaten baguette etc...

The preferred image format is JPEG (with minimum compression if possible), or PNG.

Neutral facial expressions are preferred - remember you'll be watching a snooker match!

Images can be sent to Binary Zoo at snooker@binaryzoo.co.uk
