About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

'Sacred Underworld' Announced

by Judy on Aug. 19, 2004 @ 2:39 a.m. PDT

In Sacred Underworld, players will be able to re-live the excitement of the entire original Sacred adventure with two new characters, the Daemon and the Dwarf; alternatively, it will be possible to continue the thrilling story of the fantasy world of 'Ancaria' with existing characters. The stout Dwarf excels at close combat, swinging his axe to devastating effect. Strapped over his shoulder are the musket and cannon, able of launching terrifying ranged attacks. The Daemon is a true creature of the Underworld, sinister and eerie. Able to change into a variety of shapes, she is a powerful sorceress as well as a trained fighter.

It continues to tell the story of the kingdom of Ancaria, which is now facing a dreadful threat coming from its very depths. After Shaddar's demise, the player is drawn into the depths and faces a completely new, bizarre, bright and vast underworld. After many adventures above and below the world's surface, the hero will finally stand before the Portal of Hell, in an intense and dramatic climax.
