256 MB RAM
Video card with 64 MB, compatible with DX 8.0 (GeForce 3 or ATI Radeon 9200)

Please notice that these are requirements for single player game - requirements
for multiplayer game are slightly higher.

This Demo was not tested with onboard graphics/sound cards, including laptops.

III INSTALLATION

To install Xpand Rally MP Demo:
1. Double mouse-click "Xpand Rally MP Demo" executable.
2. Choose destination folder and click "ok" button.

You may also check wheel/pad default options in controllers menu (choose
options, then controllers) to configure your driving wheel/pad (change dead
zone, saturation, axis and buttons).

V XPAND RALLY MP DEMO SAFE MODE

The safe mode should be used when the game won't run on your machine - it
alters the default settings to lower settings, this will then allow you to boot
up the game and tweak the options for your machine. To run Xpand Rally in safe
mode choose "Xpand Rally MP Demo Safe Mode" shortcut from Start bar (it's
located in Xpand Rally MP Demo group).

VI MULTIPLAYER INFORMATION

Q: I can't join internet games and people can't join my internet servers?
A: Please check if after clicking on update and refresh button below servers
list you will be able to join one of the existing Xpand Rally MP Demo servers.
A: You will need to check that your firewall (if you're running one - please
remember that Windows XP has built-in firewall) is setup to allow Xpand Rally
through it, the ports that need to be opened for this are ports from 28000 to
28050, although this can be set in the server settings section of the game.
A: If you are using two network interfaces (i.e. one for LAN card and modem for
Internet connection) you have to disable the one that is not responsible for
Internet connection in order to connect to Master Server and join Internet
games.
A: Please remember that both the server and client must be of the same game
version in order to connect (represented by green icon before server name).

Q: My Multiplayer Server is too slow when hosting a MP game?
A: General rule of thumb for hosting faster multiplayer games is that the
better the computer you are hosting it on, the better the game will run.
Another alternative for running faster multiplayer games is to use the
Dedicated Server function within the game. This allows you to host a game for
others to play, but you will not be able to play on this machine, only host the
game. As well as this another thing that will restrict the speed of the
multiplayer game is the bandwidth of the line you are playing the game on, the
faster the bandwidth the faster the game will be.

Q: Can I sort internet servers?
A: Yes - choose 'server filter option' to sort game servers, or click on server
name, IP, latency to sort by these fields.

Q: How can I run Xpand Rally dedicated server?
A: Best way to create Xpand Rally dedicated server is to run the game, choose
multiplayer game then setup all options (if server has to be LAN or Internet,
maps/cars available on server, etc.) and then exit game and run the game with
" Run Xpand Rally MP Demo dedicated server" icon from start menu (server will
start with latest options).

VII GAME PERFORMACE

If the framerate of your game seems to be low, try lowering some of the video
or audio settings to rectify the problem.
Please check if turning off tapes physics will help to improve framerate on
your machine. Make sure you have the latest video/audio/motherboard drivers
installed on your computer.
Please also check if using ghosts cars instead of collisions mode will help to
improve the framerate. Make sure that you have closed all unnecessary programs
running in background before running the game. If you are using onboard sound
card please check if lowering sound quality will help to improve the
framerate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why doesn't the game start?
A: Make sure there is DirectX 9.0c or newer installed on your computer. If not,
download it from www.microsoft.com
A: Check the BIOS settings if the AGP Fast Write Control is set to Disabled and
the Graphics Aperture Size is set to Minimum 64MB.

Q: Why is an error message displayed while executing the game?
A: Make sure you have the latest video/audio/motherboard drivers installed on
your computer.
They are usually available for download from the vendor's website.
Check these sites for Video card drivers:

www.ati.com for ATI drivers (we recommend Catalyst 4.7 or higher)
www.nvidia.com for nVidia drivers (we recommend ForceWare 61.76 or higher)

Q. I can't hear some environment sounds and engine sounds.
A: If you are using 4.1 or better speaker system please check if it is set
properly in your sound card properties. You may also try changing speaker
system to 2/2.1 and then check out if you will hear all sounds.

IX KNOWN COMPATIBILITY ISSUES

In all cases check that you have installed the latest drivers from your
hardware manufacturer's website.
Please note that video cards that do not support T&L in hardware do not fully
meet the games minimum spec and will therefore suffer performance issues.

On some PC's with this video card you may experience problems with slowdown, if
this is the case try lowering the detail levels in the options to improve
things.

If you have noticed that there is no fog in the game please check if
installation of different video card drivers will help to solve this problem.
