The comic book is set before the events of the videogame and tells the story of how the bitter hostility between Optimus Prime and Megatron all started. It is illustrated by the legendary Don Figueroa, lead artist of the seminal Transformers ongoing series, and written by Alexander Irvine, author of the upcoming book Transformers: Exodus: The Official History of the War for Cybertron, two of the biggest names in Transformers comics.
