by Rainier on Aug. 10, 2011 @ 1:00 p.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

Fruit Ninja Kinect (XBLA)

Fruit Ninja Kinect pairs the frenzied fruit slashing action from the hit mobile game with the motion-controls of the Kinect for Xbox 360, allowing players to swing their arms, jump and high kick to cut through an endless cascade of flying fruits while trying to avoid dangerous bombs. With single and two-player modes, friends can now battle each other or team up to slice fruit together.

Fruit Ninja Kinect stays true to the spirit of the beloved title while expanding players' experience with new gameplay modes and unlockable content. There are three single-player modes: compete for the highest score while avoiding bombs in Classic Mode, serenely slash through 90 seconds of Zen Mode, or throw intense power-ups into the mayhem with Arcade Mode.

Fruit Ninja Kinect also adds local multiplayer so Fruit Ninjas can slice side-by-side in pursuit of unlockable blades, backgrounds, avatar shadows and Achievements that only the quickest ninjas will conquer. True masters of fruit ninjutsu searching the lands for a worthy opponent can climb the online leaderboards, but only ninjas able to decimate the mysterious pomegranate — a rare fruit that players can attack furiously in bullet-time — will claim the highest scores.

Fruit Ninja Kinect is rated "E for everyone" by the ESRB and is available for download through Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft points or $10.

Worms 2: Armageddon DLC (PS3)

Wriggling their way onto the PlayStation Network, the Worms 2: Armageddon - Puzzle Pack and the Worms 2: Armageddon - Forts Pack are available to download for PlayStation 3 from the PlayStation Store in both the U.S. and Europe.

Each of the DLC packs draw inspiration from the most popular elements of Worms 2: Armageddon, adding new single-player missions, themes, Trophies and more to the mix.

The Puzzle Pack offers a collection of 20 brain-teasing single-player puzzle missions, which can only be solved by hard logic and lateral thinking. It offers 12 Trophies to unlock, a new theme and a selection of new hats, gravestones and speech-banks.

The Forts Pack caters for those who prefer to destroy their opponents from the comfort of a well-fortified bunker. The package offers a diverse selection of 20 new fort-based missions, 10 new forts, 12 Trophies to unlock and a bunch of new ways to customise your team.

The two packs are available from the PlayStation Store for £2.99/$4.99/€3.59 each.
