'Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise' Gets Delayed, New Date

by Rainier on Dec. 12, 2013 @ 3:24 p.m. PST

Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise allows you to send your ships off to the west to discover a new world, unlike any you’ve seen before.

For the first time ever in a Paradox Development Studio game, players are given the chance to discover a completely randomized American continent, where no playthrough will ever be the same.

Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise makes it possible for you to play as a Native American nation and master the federation mechanics, as well as unique national ideas, buildings and events. You may also take command of a Colonial Nation, declare colonial war, or even strive for liberty from your motherland.

In addition to the Conquest of Paradise expansion, Paradox Development Studio are working on lots of completely free gameplay features (in addition to bug fixes, of course). Even if you don’t buy the expansion, you will get completely new map modes, more playable nations, colonial nations and much more. Also, don’t worry about MP: just like in Crusader Kings II, if the host has the expansion – everyone in the MP session can use the gameplay features of Conquest of Paradise.

Originally scheduled for release on December 11, 2013, Paradox has delayed the launch by about a month, now planned for January 14, 2014.
