Pizza Hut Lets You Order Pies Via Xbox Live, Powered By Kinect

by Rainier on April 23, 2013 @ 8:12 a.m. PDT

Available for download on Tuesday, April 23 by 9:00 a.m. PST the Pizza Hut for Xbox app can operate via Xbox Kinect hand motions and voice commands as well as with traditional Xbox game controllers.

For the first time ever, gamers can order physical goods through Xbox Live with Pizza Hut and to celebrate, the pizza giant will host a launch event today at Microsoft Campus in Seattle with its first delivery placed by three-time national champion and professional Halo player, Dave “Walshy” Walsh, and the voice of Xbox, Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson.

This isn’t just any physical good, but one of the most popular “goods” among gamers and consumers alike – Pizza Hut pizza; and pasta, wings, breadsticks and more. From being the first item ever ordered on the internet in 1994 to the first physical good ordered from Xbox Live in 2013 – Pizza Hut is proud to be the “Official Pizza of Xbox Live.”
