'King's Quest: A Knight to Remember' (ALL) Gets Release Date - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 30, 2015 @ 8:46 a.m. PDT

King's Quest re-imagines the core characters and familiar storylines of King Graham's early journeys, setting up new chapters tied to – but independent of – the original games.

King’s Quest marks a return of a franchise that helped define the adventure genre when it first came to life 30 years ago.

Huge fans of the original King’s Quest series, The Odd Gentlemen are crafting a charming new adventure with an awe-inspiring art style, engaging puzzles, and a wondrous interactive narrative brimming with humor.

In the new story, King Graham – revered as the greatest adventurer to ever live – shares his life’s adventures with his curious granddaughter, Gwendolyn. It is through these tales that Gwendolyn discovers the true greatness of her grandfather.

This allows the team at The Odd Gentlemen to skim across different timelines, exploring a narrative in the past and “present” simultaneously. And like its predecessors, King’s Quest remains a story-driven experience, in which players interact with the world around them, solve puzzles, and live out Graham’s adventures in comical (and touching) fashion.

Sierra announced that a bundle of all five chapters, including a future bonus playable story epilogue, of the new King’s Quest – named  King’s Quest: The Complete Collection – is now available to pre-order on the PlayStation®Network and Steam for $39.99/£31.99. Xbox One pre-orders on the Xbox Games Store will begin on 7th July.

Chapters and epilogue can be downloaded in-game upon individual release throughout 2015 and 2016.

King’s Quest: A Knight to Remember, rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and Up), will launch as a digital download for $9.99/£7.99.
