'Battlefield 4' (ALL) China Rising DLC Free Until Next Week

by Rainier on Aug. 2, 2016 @ 8:50 a.m. PDT

Powered By the Frostbite 3 engine, Battlefield 4 offers players a glimpse into that is more human, dramatic and believable than anything before it, where multiplayer game design elements are incorporated into the single-player campaign.

In single-player, gamers will experience huge environments, a playground of destruction, access to an arsenal of vehicles and the ability to direct squad mates. Taking a page from the social aspect of multiplayer gaming, the single-player mode will now track players’ progress, adding an element of persistence and friendly competition to the campaign.

The world is on the brink of chaos, China is the tinderbox and you and your squad are the inadvertent spark that could ignite a global conflict. This is Battlefield 4. As Sergeant Daniel Recker, you play as a member of an elite group of unlikely heroes known as Tombstone squad, navigating the turmoil around you as you fight to save the final hope for peace.

From August 2 to August 9, you can get Battlefield 4: China Rising for free from Xbox Live (Xbox One and Xbox 360), PlayStation Network and Origin.

Battlefield 4 China Rising will have players fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland and will include four new maps, as well as new vehicles, weapons and more.

Dominate opposing squads across four new multiplayer maps that span the Chinese mainland. In addition to maps, this expansion contains one new multiplayer mode, more vehicles, and a variety of weapons, gadgets, and assignments.

More maps.

• Altai Range. Battle in small villages and on sprawling mountain ridges, either on-foot or while piloting vehicles.
• Dragon Pass. This map features swampy terrain and riverside locales, making aquatic vehicles ideal for transport.
• Silk Road. Fight across military outposts, sweeping sand dunes, and vast canyons.
• Guilin Peaks. Engage in firefights through through networks of caves and atop giant stone formations.

More vehicles. Speed across the battlefield on the dirt bike, a low-profile transport vehicle that will get you where you need to go in no time flat. Also, remotely control a Bomber’s targeting systems to decimate enemies from above.

An additional multiplayer mode. Fight for control of the skies in the Air Superiority game mode by jumping into a jet or helicopter and engaging in epic dogfights.

More gear and assignments. Complete 10 additional assignments, and unlock powerful weapons, including the L85A2 assault rifle, L96A1 sniper rifle, MP7 submachine guns, MTAR-21 assault rifle, and RPK-74M light machine gun. Also included are the Support kit’s Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle gadget (UCAV), an unmanned aircraft that contains an explosive payload, as well as the Recon kit’s Small Unmanned Air Vehicle (SUAV), which can mark targets for guided weaponry with a laser designator.
