Nintendo fans have been waiting for their version of Steep, but today Ubisoft unceremoniously revealed on Twitter that it has canceled development on the Switch edition.

We reached out to Ubisoft PR to ask for further details and received the same official statement:

"The Steep team is wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news about the live game to share soon."
