'SoulCalibur VI' (ALL) Brings Back Raphael Sorel As Playable Character - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Sept. 18, 2018 @ 7:06 p.m. PDT

Following the 20th anniversary of the SoulCalibur franchise, the weapon based fighting game returns to its roots whilst bringing brand new gameplay features.

SoulCalibur VI has never looked more dynamic or intense with eye popping graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4. Travel through signature 16th century stages and experience the struggle for the two legendary swords using a roster of returning characters along with newcomers!

Gameplay has been revamped with the all new Reversal Edge feature allowing players to take balance between attack and defence. Once activated, players can defend against the opponents attack and directly counter with a powerful strike highlighted through a dynamic camera.

The art of sword fighting has always been intimately connected with nobility and Raphael fully embodies a noble warrior spirit in SoulCalibur VI!

As a master of the rapier, his fighting style is that of a fencer, delivering deadly blow to opponents through powerful thrusts and slashes. Processing great speed and agility, Raphael is at once difficult to hit and defend against. Yet his life has taken many twists and turns, from noble family member to living as a vagabond in Spain. Where ever he ends up, more about Raphael will be revealed in SoulCalibur VI when the game launches.

Key Features:

  • The legendary weapon-based 3D fighting game returns to its roots
  • State of the art graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4
  • A complete roster of returning characters and newcomers
  • An epic story mode of the struggle for the two swords
  • Revamped gameplay mechanics for intense showdowns
  • Dynamic fights enhanced by cinematic-styled combat

SoulCalibur VI is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC, scheduled for release on October 19, 2018.
