'Genshin Impact' Crossover Campaign Adds Horizon: Zero Dawn's Aloy As Playable Character - Screens

As an open world action title, Genshin Impact highlights its feature as freely explorable world, multiple playable characters, an in-depth elemental combo-based combat system and an engaging story.

Genshin Impact aims to offer an immersive adventure experience with vast, breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, an engaging element-based combat system, a diverse cast of characters with richly developed stories, and offers both the classic single-player mode and the cross-platform co-op mode for up to four players.

Players will take on the role of the mysterious "Traveler", setting off the voyage of finding their lost sibling, and ultimately unravels the mysteries of themselves and the world.

Joined by a lively companion called Paimon, players will explore the land filled with varied landscapes, culturally – diverse towns, and treacherous dungeons. By mastering the power of the seven elements with a custom party of up to 4 characters, players will overcome merciless foes and fiendish puzzles.

As a free-to-play online title, Genshin Impact enables players to explore Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor – two of the seven major cities in Teyvat – each with unique cultural ambience, stories, vast surrounding landscapes full of diverse creatures and enemies, mysteries, and hidden treasures. Furthermore, the game will continue to expand with more cities, following stories, new characters and seasonal events through live-service updates to enrich the gameplay and expedition in the continent of Teyvat.


After its first massive content expansion featuring an all-new nation Inazuma in Version 2.0 yesterday, Genshin Impact continues to surprise fans and players by announcing its first collaboration with Horizon Zero Dawn.

Starting from Version 2.1, the legendary hunter Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn will join the Genshin Impact character roster as a five-star character. Players across PS5, PS4, PC, Android, and iOS can obtain this new five-star character for free within a limited time

An Outcast, Seeker, and proven huntress from the Nora Tribe who saves life on Earth in Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy will not hesitate to fight for a cause during her adventures in the world of Teyvat. In addition to her extraordinary archery abilities, she also acquired a Cryo Vision in this world and can wield unique elemental power in combat and exploration. In Version 2.1, Aloy will be featured as a new five-star character "Savior From Another World" who joins the Traveler in unraveling the secrets of Teyvat.

"Savior From Another World" Aloy will be provided free of charge to Genshin Impact players, with exclusive early access for players on PlayStation®. During Version 2.1, players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above can receive Aloy via in-game mail after logging in to the game on PS5 or PS4. Meanwhile, other players can receive Aloy via in-game mail after logging in to the game on any available platform during Version 2.2. A free four-star Bow that gives Aloy a special buff can also be obtained exclusively on PlayStation during Version 2.1 and Version 2.2 for players who reached Adventure Rank 20 or above.

The collaboration between Genshin Impact and Horizon Zero Dawn will be featured during Version 2.1 and Version 2.2, with more details to be disclosed later.

Currently available for PS4, PS5, PC, iOS and Android, Genshin Impact is coming to Nintendo Switch at a later time.
