'Sniper Elite 5' Rolls Out Free DLCs, Season 2 Coming Soon - Trailer

by Rainier on Jan. 24, 2023 @ 1:26 p.m. PST

Sniper Elite 5 will see elite marksman Karl Fairburne travel to France in 1944 to destroy Operation Kraken.

As part of a covert US Rangers operation to weaken the Atlantikwall fortifications along the coast of Brittany, Karl makes contact with the French Resistance. Soon they uncover a secret Nazi project that threatens to end the war before the Allies can even invade Europe: Operation Kraken. It’s Karl’s mission to take out the high ranking Nazi officers and end Operation Kraken once and for all.

Based upon real-world locations from France in 1944, the new game maps are the largest and most immersive in the franchise’s history. The game's new traversal system offers players an even greater sandbox of options when it comes to taking out their targets. Players can even invite a friend to help them on their mission with enhanced co-operative gameplay options.

Sniper Elite 5 continues the franchise’s unparalleled tactical sniping experience complete with incredible ballistics and an enhanced kill cam, taking the genre-defining feature to the next level. New customization options allow you to adjust your rifle, other weapons and ammo to suit the mission and your play style.

The time has come.

You seamlessly tackled the gun batteries in Landing Force and took on legions of Axis resistance in  Conqueror…but the fight isn’t over yet.

We are delighted to announce that Sniper Elite 5, Season 2 is coming and it’s coming SOON! To celebrate the news, and to reward your efforts on the front lines in Season 1, we’ve just dropped some free DLC to keep you going in the meantime.

FREE No-Cross Map Landing Zone:

For those of you who continue the battle outside of the campaign, the wait for a new No-Cross map is finally over. Revisit the dramatic setting of  Landing Zone but this time, there’s a unique twist…

Rather than the central No-Cross map divide, we’re introducing a circular divide to this map for the very first time. In this instance, that means restricting one team to the central part of the village, whilst the opposition surrounds them on all sides.

An array of additional vantage points have also been introduced to allow for more sniping opportunities so neither side should be underestimated. Good luck snipers, Landing Zone awaits…

FREE Winter Weapon Skin Pack:

It’s still pretty arctic in these parts, so what better way to celebrate the cold, than with a FREE Winter Weapon Skin pack. Drape your rifle collection (all current base models and DLC items) in the finest icy skins. Dispatch your foes in cold style!

Season 2 Update:

Whilst we can’t share any exact dates on the upcoming Season 2 releases for 2023, we can tell you that the season will include:

  • 2 Campaign Missions
  • 6 Weapon Packs
  • 2 Weapon Skin Packs
  • 4 Character Skins

  • Tense adversarial multiplayer – Customize your character and loadout and earn XP, medals and ribbons as you take on intensely competitive 16-player battles that will really test your sharpshooting skills. If co-op’s more your style, you can team up with up to three other players against waves of enemies in Survival mode.
  • Enhanced kill cam – More realistic and grisly than ever, the trademark X-ray kill cam returns, showing you the true destructive power of each shot. Bones deflect bullets unpredictably, ripping a new path through enemy bodies. SMGs and pistols can also trigger kill cams, including multiple shots in dramatic slow motion.
