'Lords Of The Fallen' Reveals Content/Events Roadmap For The Rest Of 2023

by Rainier on Nov. 7, 2023 @ 11:29 a.m. PST

Lords Of The Fallen is an action RPG set within a medieval fantasy world ruled by a Fallen God where you will fight against the formidable Lords and Generals that command his demonic army.

Taking place more than a thousand years after the events of the first game, Lords Of The Fallen introduces an all-new adventure in a vast, interconnected world, more than five times larger than the original game. As one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, embark on an epic quest to overthrow Adyr, the demon God.

An expansive RPG experience - filled with NPC quests, compelling characters, and rich narrative - players will need to create their own hero before tackling the immersive single player campaign. They will also have the option to invite a second player to join their adventure in uninterrupted online co-op - a new feature for the franchise.

After an age of the cruelest tyranny, the demon God, Adyr, was finally defeated. But Gods… do not fall forever. Now, aeons later, Adyr’s resurrection draws nigh. As one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, journey through both the realms of the living and the dead in this expansive RPG experience, featuring colossal boss battles, fast challenging combat, thrilling character encounters, and deep, immersive storytelling. Will your legend be one of light… or one of darkness?

Coexisting like two sides of the same coin, the Dual Worlds of Axiom (the realm of the living) and Umbral (the realm of the dead) each feature their own unique pathways, enemies, characters, and, of course, treasures. And while it is often down to the player which realm they journey through, they will regularly need to switch from one to the other in order to progress.

Dare to Hope.

CI Games has revealed Lords Of The Fallen’s roadmap for the rest of the year.

Following the Halloween-themed ‘Season of the Bleak’ at the end of October, two further events will take place before the New Year, each bringing fresh content to dark crusaders across Mournstead. The roadmap also includes a regular weekly cadence of updates focusing on bringing further stability, performance optimisation, and balancing improvements to the game, including its online cross-play experience.

Multiple new questlines will be added before year’s end, with the opportunity to unlock some unique armour sets and weapons (some of which have been co-created with the community themselves during collaborative livestreams). Furthermore, players can look forward to 12 new spells, new finisher attacks, and a whole host of community-requested features, including the recently revealed New Game Plus (NG+) modifier system – a first for the genre, and highly anticipated by the Lords of the Fallen community.

"At HEXWORKS, we’re incredibly proud of the open relationship we're fostering with our community. We are actively listening to their constructive feedback and working diligently to deliver what we believe, collectively, will elevate Lords of the Fallen even further. Every addition to the game is a labour of love, as we strive to push both itsand the genre’s boundaries," affirmed Saül Gascon, Head of Studio.

Further support is also planned, with more information to be announced at a future date.
