Players will journey through the breathtaking Alaska wilderness as Nuna and her spirit companion, Fox, as they uncover a new mystery that threatens the entire community.

Never Alone 2 is being developed using an Inclusive Development process with the Alaska Native community. It tells an original story written by acclaimed Iñupiat writer Nasugraq Rainey Hopson (in close collaboration with Anchorage, AK-based Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) and the Alaska Native community) and draws from tradition and stories that have been shared across generations.

Reinforcing the theme of interdependence, Never Alone 2 is designed to be played co-op (online and couch),inviting you to explore environments ranging from the harsh frozen tundra to forest valleys filled with ancient willows as you traverse beautifully realized landscapes that are filled with wonder. Together you will work to navigate these wilds, forge connections with the spirits, and experience how the Alaska Native people have survived and thrived for over 10,000 years in one of the harshest and most breathtaking parts of the world.

Having reached nearly 15M players, the original Never Alone has been hailed as a triumph in cultural storytelling and inclusive development in video games. Since its launch in 2014, Never Alone has been honored with BAFTA and Peabody awards as well as placement on over 75 “Best of Year” game lists. The game has also received award nominations from DICE, GDC, SXSW, The Game Awards, and was selected as Game of the Year at Games for Change. In addition, Never Alone 2 has been recognized as a significant milestone in video games with its inclusion in exhibitions at renowned museums such as the Smithsonian Institution and induction into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.
