Originally planned for October 15th, Pearl Abyss announced that Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown will launch on October 19, 2026.

We are hard at work on Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown to bring you new adventures to Pywel.
However, we have determined that we need additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience. Therefore, we have decided to move the DLC's release by 2 weeks to October 29 GMT/PT.
We know many of you have been looking forward to returning to the game and we sincerely apologize for the longer wait. We will use the additional time to further refine the content and do our utmost to deliver the best experience we can.

While the name “Crimson Desert” was originally a region within Black Desert, Crimson Desert is in fact not a sequel, but a whole new IP. The title started as the prequel to Black Desert, but during development Pearl Abyss began to create an entirely different storyline and a whole new set of characters.
