Welcome to the ultimate battle for life and death…
PUBG: Battlegrounds will expand the core Battle Royale experience enjoyed by millions of players into a highly competitive player vs. player (PvP) game in a dynamic open world.
PUBG: Battlegrounds will put up to 64 players on a remote island for a winner-takes-all showdown where strategic gameplay is as important as shooting skills. Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking safe area as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death.
When the match starts, players have no items or weapons. To progress, they can try to commandeer a vehicle to discover a high-value location, search for weapons or employ other diversified tactics with a goal of being the last man standing. All weapons can be upgraded with attachments such as sights and suppressors and both road and off-road vehicles will be available to players.
Kill or be killed in a fight to be the last man standing.
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has unveiled “PAYDAY,” a new limited-time heist mode developed in collaboration with Starbreeze Entertainment, the developer behind the globally recognized PAYDAY IP, available from May 12 to June 10. To support the launch, KRAFTON released a new cinematic trailer featuring an original track by 070 Shake, created exclusively for the mode.
A New Heist Experience in PUBG
In “PAYDAY,” players team up to plan and execute high-risk heists, securing objectives and escaping under pressure. The mode shifts the focus from traditional battle royale gameplay to strategy, coordination, and role-based team play.
Players can choose from five distinct classes—Assault, Medic, Tank, Marksman, and Ghost—each offering different strengths for completing objectives. Missions take place across a variety of urban environments, including The Exchange, Diamond District, Nightclub, and Road Rage, where teams must secure targets such as vaults, data, and cash before making their escape.
Each scenario supports multiple playstyles, allowing teams to approach objectives with stealth or pivot to direct combat as situations escalate.
The newly released trailer highlights the tension and pacing of the mode, following a team of masked players as they carry out a coordinated heist in a cinematic urban setting.
The trailer features “Baby Driver,” an original track by 070 Shake, continuing PUBG’s ongoing collaboration with the artist. Her music has previously been featured in PUBG trailers including UNBOUND and Xeno Point, with “PAYDAY” marking the first time an original track has been created specifically for a PUBG mode.
Expanding PUBG’s Creative Collaborations
With “PAYDAY,” PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS continues to expand its collaborations across gameplay and music, bringing new experiences to players through partnerships with developers and artists.
