GOG has gone deep into the sands of the original Scimitar engine, rebuilding our early experimental work into a lightweight wrapper designed to address the challenges of running this 2003 classic on modern hardware.
The result brings a host of improvements without changing the experience at the heart of the game. The Prince can now properly explore modern widescreen and ultrawide displays, with customizable camera scaling that preserves the same vertical view across different aspect ratios. You can also lock the game to your preferred frame rate, keep your mouse confined to the game window when using multiple monitors, and adjust FOV and other settings on the fly through a new in-game overlay.
