The story unfolds in Paris, France, in 1499—23 years after the events of the popular series entry Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and the recent animated show. Rose Belmont, daughter of the Dracula-slaying hero Trevor Belmont, sets out to defeat monsters whilst exploring the burning streets of Paris and Dracula’s castle, utilizing a variety of weapons and skills, including the sacred whip ‘Vampire Killer’. Trevor Belmont’s successor – and the game’s protagonist – must descend into the city attacked by monstrous creatures and a looming mystical castle to hunt down the beasts and save the Parisians from eternal darkness.

Long-time fans and newcomers to the franchise will have to master different weapons and spells to arm themselves against foes. Plus, a sense of exploration will favor the bold and those who dare explore every inch of the sinister castle.

Forty years after a lone vampire hunter first stepped through the gates of Dracula's castle, the music of Castlevania rises again. Castlevania 40th Anniversary An Orchestral Concert, an official concert event licensed by Konami, will bring one of the most celebrated soundtracks in video game history to the stage for three landmark performances:

• 13 March: Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Tokyo
• 14 March: Eventim Apollo, London
• 26 March: Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles

Performed by a 25-piece power rock orchestra and synchronised with gameplay footage projected in stunning detail, the concert traces the series' journey from its 1986 origins through to its modern era, a body of music that has transcended gaming to become a cultural phenomenon in its own right.

In a world exclusive, the concert will also feature the first-ever live performance of music from Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, releasing in 2026.

Audiences can expect the series' most beloved and most streamed themes, including the immortal "Bloody Tears," the iconic "Vampire Killer," the gothic grandeur of "Dracula's Castle" from Symphony of the Night, and the heroic "Divine Bloodlines," music that has been reimagined across generations of games, covered by artists worldwide, and featured in the hit Netflix animated series.

Castlevania 40th Anniversary An Orchestral Concert is created by Lambert Jackson Productions, with creative direction by Thomas Redgrave, video design by Symfoni Digital and all new arrangements and orchestrations by Adam Hoskins. The international tour is promoted by Soho Live and Lambert Jackson Productions.

The iconic whip, a defining weapon of the Castlevania series, returns with renewed purpose. More than a weapon, it now serves as a vital tool for traversal, allowing players to swing across diverse areas to uncover hidden rooms, and reach previously inaccessible areas. Mastery of the whip’s mechanics also unlocks inventive combat possibilities, enabling players to strike enemies from unconventional positions.

The unique art style of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse builds upon the series’ signature gothic aesthetic, allowing players to discover the world of Castlevania like never before. New areas are rich with secrets and puzzles to uncover, alongside deadly traps that demand constant vigilance.
