About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

20. 'Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2' (PS5/PS4/XSX/XOne/PC)

Successor to the iconic RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 features reactive storytelling, fast-paced melee combat, and intriguing characters with their own hidden motives.

Lauren "Feffy" Hall: The World of Darkness franchise is heavy with games that are dark, intriguing and very successful, so I have a strong feeling that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be no different! This game appears to have the same dark humor and disturbed nocturnal secret society in Seattle as most of the other games in the series, and I couldn't be happier about that. There's something delightfully intriguing and deviant about joining a creepy vampire society, and I love that you can choose your faction, which changes the way the story unfolds. I also love that your choices always impact the world and game endings in this universe because it lends to a few replays, at the very least. I can't wait to see what kind of crazy deeds I'll be getting up to this time!

Rhi "StormyDawn" Mitera: Vampire: The Masquerade holds a very important place in my heart. It was one of my first tabletop RPGs, and the first Bloodlines is one of my favorite and most-replayed games of all time. Part of me still doesn't believe that Bloodlines 2 is actually happening. I can't wait to spend entirely too many hours slinking through the shadows of Seattle — even if they won't let me be a Nosferatu this time.

Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: I have fond memories of reviewing the original Bloodlines way back in the day, and though it was buggy as hell, its gameplay was compelling in a way that few other games of its time were. The sequel was announced a while back, and while I had this game as one of my most anticipated for 2020 (which obviously did not happen), I'm hopeful that this game doesn't slip again. With Deus Ex nowhere to be found, I've been wanting to dive into another first-person RPG, and Bloodlines 2 may well be the closest thing on the horizon to scratch that itch.

Andreas Salmen: Vampire: The Masquerade is a fan favorite RPG that I didn't play until very recently (and have yet have to finish). What I know is that there is enough potential here, even in its rather aged predecessor, to provide a memorable and fun RPG experience. Games like Vampyr have shown that vampire-themed settings have a lot of potential if executed well. I'm hoping that Bloodlines 2 will appease fans of the original and strive for new innovations. After the thorough letdown that was Cyberpunk 2077, I'm more than ready for a properly executed RPG experience.
